Disclaimer & Satire Policy

Yes, It's Satire.

Spa City Chronicle is a satirical publication.

The purpose of this website is to entertain, parody, exaggerate, and comment on current events, local culture, politics, public figures, businesses, technology, and everyday life.

Stories published by Spa City Chronicle may contain fictional people, fictional events, fictional quotations, exaggerated claims, altered images, parody advertisements, or other fictional material.  Unless specifically identified as factual reporting, content should not be interpreted as a claim that a person, business, organization, government agency, or event actually did or said what is described.

Real People and Organizations

Spa City Chronicle may reference real people, businesses, organizations, government agencies, locations, and public events as part of its satire.

References to real people or organizations do not necessarily indicate an endorsement, affiliation, partnership, or relationship with Spa City Chronicle.  We do not intend our fictional stories to be presented as factual accounts of real events.

Artificial Intelligence

Some content published by Spa City Chronicle may be created or modified with the assistance of artificial intelligence.  AI-assisted content may include written stories, images, illustrations, headlines, fictional characters, scenarios, or other creative material.  Content appearing in the AI Newsroom is particularly likely to contain AI-generated or AI-assisted material.

Images

Images may be original photographs, historical photographs, digitally edited images, AI-generated images, stock imagery, or parody graphics.  An image accompanying a story does not necessarily depict an actual event described in the story.

Advertising

Advertising and editorial content are separate.  Paid advertisements, sponsored content, or promotional material will be identified when applicable. Advertisers do not control our editorial or satirical content.

Corrections

Even though we're a satire publication, we still try to get the joke right.  If we make an error involving factual information, attribution, or other material that was not intended to be fictional, we may correct or update the content.  If you believe something on the site has been incorrectly attributed or creates genuine confusion about a real person or organization, please contact us.

One Last Thing

If you believed that a story on Spa City Chronicle was real, we're not necessarily going to admit that we got you.  That's kind of the point.
