HOT SPRINGS, AR — The City of Hot Springs has announced a new smartphone application designed to make downtown parking easier by helping residents manage the recently introduced ParkMobile parking system.

The new app, tentatively called “ParkMobile Manager,” will reportedly allow users to open ParkMobile, select their parking zone, enter their payment information and confirm that they have successfully opened ParkMobile.

According to city officials, the additional app was necessary because “people were becoming confused about which app they were supposed to use.” One resident reportedly spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to use the new app before realizing it was only designed to open the other app.

City officials say additional features could be added in the future, including a third application designed to manage ParkMobile Manager. “We’re calling it ParkMobile Manager Pro,” one official reportedly said. “It will basically manage the app that manages ParkMobile.” Officials say a fourth app has already been proposed to help residents remember which of the three apps they need to use.
