Hot Springs Residents Warned: “Your Grass Doesn’t Get a Fall Vacation“

HOT SPRINGS, AR — As temperatures cool and lawns across Hot Springs begin slowing their growth, residents are reportedly wondering whether their grass has officially entered “fall mode.” Unfortunately, city officials apparently did not get the memo, leaving some homeowners scrambling to determine whether their increasingly brown lawns are still tall enough to attract the attention of code enforcement.

According to sources, inspectors have begun measuring lawns with tape measures while residents argue that “it hasn’t grown an inch since August.” One homeowner reportedly pointed to several fallen leaves covering his yard and declared, “At this point, I’m not even sure what’s grass anymore.”

Meanwhile, lawnmowers across Hot Springs are being parked for the season as residents prepare for cooler weather, football and the annual ritual of pretending they’ll actually rake the leaves. City officials reportedly remain focused on property maintenance, while homeowners are asking the more important question: “Can we just make it to winter?”
