Charges Against Tim Beckham Withdrawn After He Threatens to “Rat Everyone Out”

HOT SPRINGS, AR — Charges against former public defender Tim Beckham have reportedly been withdrawn after Beckham allegedly threatened to “rat everyone out” if prosecutors continued pursuing the case.

According to sources, Beckham allegedly looked at the special prosecutor and basically said, “You know what? I’d hate to have to start remembering things.” Sources say Beckham reportedly hinted that he had information about several people involved with mob ties with the implementation of the ParkMobile app and was prepared to start naming names if the charges weren’t dropped.

The situation allegedly became increasingly uncomfortable when Beckham pulled out a folder labeled “NAME NAMES” and placed it on the table. Nobody knows exactly who’s involved, but sources say there were enough documents in the folder to make everyone suddenly very interested in discussing alternative options.

“I’ve never seen a case change direction that quickly,” one source said. “Five minutes earlier we were talking about charges. Five minutes later, everybody was suddenly saying, ‘You know, maybe we should all just take a deep breath.’”

Beckham allegedly continued dropping hints about what he knew, reportedly causing several people around Hot Springs to suddenly check their phones, delete old text messages and remember that they had “somewhere else to be.”

The special prosecutor ultimately decided that withdrawing the charges was probably the safest course of action. “We’re not saying Tim knows anything,” the fictional source said. “We’re just saying we’d rather not find out.”

Beckham has reportedly declined to explain exactly what information he allegedly has, leaving several people around town wondering whether their name is sitting inside the infamous folder. For now, the charges are gone, Beckham is free, and an unusually large number of people are reportedly hoping he has terrible handwriting.
